“I wanted to create a modified casket that would offer an easier and more dramatic means of closing the casket lid, so I invented this. My automated design would ensure the seal between the lid and the rest of the casket was as tight as possible without requiring excessive strength by the funeral worker. It would also provide a sense of drama for the final viewing.”
Features
- Would comprise a standard rectangular casket that could be produced from wood, plastic, or metal
- The main modification of this product would incorporate an automatic motorized gear system
for supporting the movement and closure of the lid - NIC port incorporated into design; would be removed at end of service and reused
- This motorized gear system would be operated via Wi-Fi control unit and accessed by the funeral
director or associates
